Im Seminar wird das Restaurieren historischer Fenster aus dem 17. Jahrhundert den Teilnehmern der Jugendbauhütte gelehrt– die Abnahme jüngerer Farbschichten, die Verwendung von Fisch- und Knochenleim und die Aussetzung geschädigter Fensterelemente in der gleichen Holzart entsprechend dem Verlauf der Maserung

In der Gruppe Fachwerk wird die historische Fachwerkkonstruktion resttauriert – hier wird das Anreisen, das Stemmen und das Hobeln der Gefügeverbindungen gelehrt und umgesetzt.
